About The NDCC Bank

The Nilgiris District Central Cooperative Bank was established in 1954 and has been operating with a banking license obtained from the Reserve Bank of India. For the past 71 years, we have been providing exemplary banking services to the people throughout the Nilgiris District and take pride in serving as the livelihood foundation for the agricultural community.
Our headquarters is situated in the central area of Ooty, the capital city of the Nilgiris District, renowned as the Queen of Hills. We operate 21 branches across various parts of the district, delivering outstanding banking services on par with commercial and national banks. We serve the agricultural credit requirements of the farming community through the bank’s affiliated societies — 74 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies — and cater to the agricultural needs and other banking services for the district’s tribal population through 3 Hill People’s Large Multipurpose Cooperative Societies, as well as through 42 Employees’ Cooperative Credit Societies for government and government-related department employees. Additionally, Cooperative Marketing Societies and Cooperative Warehouses exist to facilitate the sale of farmers’ produce at fair prices. As of March 31, 2025, the membership stands at 306.
